HI FROM SEAN
Woke up after a night sleep on the new mattress. Much better than the foam one. We had brekky and got ready for the Easter egg hunt. The kids were all lined up on the oval, waiting and waiting for it to start. After a long 10 minutes, it began. They dashed and dashed and grabbed some slightly melted eggs. Yummo!
We then left with off to see the eastern Macdonald Ranges, with some friends, finding many geocaches along the way. Spectacular.

Saw some remarkable rock art, of a style I’ve not seen elsewhere. The Earth-Cache questions had us all scratching our heads.

Another beautiful location. Found some really interesting features. Again, it’s Earth-Cache questions had us all unsure of the answers.

Corrobboree Rock
Truly spectacular hunk of rock. The tribes used to meet here for said name, and I can see why. Lovely photos here.

Trephina Gorge
This was a highlight. Lunch by the campsite area, then off to see the river. After a bit of exploring and lifting my chin from the ground, we found as beautiful waterhole. A Perrennie (goanna family) got startled and was soon a rock star, being photographed.

Ghost Gum
Just down from Trephina Gorge was a sign for the Ghost Gum, we took the turn and were greeted by an amazing very large white Ghost Gum, so we took some photos and headed for the next cache
John Hayes Rock Hole
Some of the team were unsure if we all could do this one, what with hire cars and untested new cars. We all gave it a try and found that whilst this 4x4 road was a challenge, they could still get through. (Sue & I in the Hilux held back to lend a hand if it was needed.) Success! They all made it through. Short walk revealed a beautiful waterhole. A poor couple’s solitude was interrupted. Good thing they were just reading…
The return drive down the 4x4 road was a lot faster, now confidence was high. Great fun.
The return drive was lovely, with the lighting upon the countryside quite lovely. Lots of photo’s taken, with the hope that they weren’t blurry from being in the car.
Got back to camp for a lovely dinner thanks to my beautiful wife, and helpful daughter. Can’t beat beef stroganoff. Friends over and had a few drinks. Left for the closing ceremony event.
The band they had, ‘Wolfpack Amadeus’ were super talented and I’d highly recommend them to anyone. They were playing great music, as we had a spectacular fireworks display from ‘Southern Cross’. Saw new ones never seen before. Awesome. The band had all the girls up and dancing the night away. Great night.
