Day 12 - Monday10/04/2017

Left Mt Isa early on the Monday as we had decided to do a long days driving straight to Devils Marbles without stopping like originally planned.

Before we left town we went to the Isa Lookout and for a small drive around some of the mine.

Our first official stop of the day (not including our Chucky Bear stops) was at the WWII road just outstide Mt Isa for a loo stop, a cache and to see some of the history.

From there it was a long drive Camooweal where we found another cache and introduced another possible geocaching. The cache we found was at a petrol station with a Buffaroo (Kangaroo/Buffalo) so we had to get a photo of Roo and Skippy the Bush Buffalo.

Then it was over the border from Queensland to Northern Territory with photos on both sides (we missed the QLD border on the way in due to darkness). We picked up or first cache in NT with the help and guidance of Mr Roo.

Then it was another long drive to the Barclay Homestead where we filled up the petrol tank, the bellies and claimed another cache, this one had previously eluded Mr Roo on some very cool tractors.

Back on the road to Threeways were we stopped for coffee, a photo and yet another cache. In the car again and onto Tennant Creek where the cache eluded us and we consoled ourselves by taking Roo to the bank for more money.

Tennant Creek was the last stop before Devils Marbles and we arrived just before Sunset, we quickly setup while the kids went exploring and then watched the last of the sunset.

Tonight was our first night with a campfire albeit a small one as we had no wood and had to make one from scrap twigs.

Tomorrow we arrive in Alice a day ahead of schedule and are ready for the Oz Mega
