Day 3 - Saturday 1/04/2017

Today was a really short day for news as we haven't got much to report after our day yesterday we thought it best to have a slow day.

We were up at 6 and after discovering the beautiful camping spot we managed to pull out of no where last night and some of its history and then surveying the mud from Allora, we quickly packed up the tent and headed to Toowoomba for breakfast.

A little bit of mud from Allora

A quick bite at one of the 4 McDonald restaurants that Toowoomba has (why you need 4 is beyond me) we meet up with Dave and Kylie.

Mr Roo had a sore eye after having a growth removed before we left and we suspected it was infected. We sent him of to a medical centre to get it checked today. While he waited to see the doctor we spent the time looking around Toowoomba and the new shopping centre that had its grand opening today.

Toowoomba Fountain
(can't tell from photo but it is actually a vortex)

Wind the clock forward 3 hours and we find out Roo had an infection so antibiotics and pain killers for him for the next few days.

We leave Toowoomba and stay making our way to the Glasshouse Mountains. A quick stop at the local IGA in Killcoy to get lunch supplies and a quick bite on the side of the road in a shady grass patch and it was time to hit the road again (I'm sure there is a song about this!!).

Much to my dismay we had to miss the Glasshouse Mountains today so that we could get to our campsite in Tewantin while we still had daylight, last night reminded us how crappy setting up at night really is!!! Oh well gives us an excuse to come back up here again and next time I can spend more time list with my camera (Silver lining) :-D

We got to the Caravan Park (yet another beautiful spot) and after the trailer was unloaded the kids hit the pool while we set up the tents (Roo had a small one too and it's much easier without children under feet).

Dave and Kylie joined us at the park before we headed to Noosa Heads River for some delicious fish and chips. there was a statue there that Gran would love so the kids had to get photos.

Back at the campsite by 9pm, a quick drink to cheers the night and peaceful day we succeeded in having and of for a shower to wash away the grot from the day before.

It is time for an early night ready for a big day of caching a site seeing tomorrow.

NIGHT ALL

PS hope you are all enjoying the blog
