Left Alice Springs early this morning with Di and Paul to take the Meerenie Loop to Kings Canyon, we were meant to stay in a free camp on the outskirts of the Canyon whilst they went into the resort, after arriving later than expected we headed to the resort with them for a shower and a chance to recharge everything.
First stop of the road trip was Simpsons Gap for a quick photo and a cache, then onto Stanley Chasm for a cache we were going to go in but we didnt really have time or want to pay the pricey admission fee. Next stop was Glen Helen Gorge were we had lunch and a quick swim, even quickier for Sean after kicking a rock in the water and injuring his toe.
After lunch we headed towards Tnorala (Gosse Bluff) which was the spot we were all excited to see as this is where the ancient metorite hit thousands of years ago leaving its mark and indetation. Paul got some magnificent drone footage of the impact crater and we found a couple of caches. The site is unbelivable in its sheer size and magnificence.

After spending quite a long time at the crator it was an almost none stop drive to Kings Canyon only stopping for the Wild Donkey, the half dozen Wild Brumbies, the 2 Wild Dingoes and the Wild Bull.
Just as we arrived at Kings Canyon Resort and started to setup the heavens opened for a short shower. Unbelivable that the Dingoes come right into the campsites and almost the tents here looking for food.
